Seaworthy Family

Holding the line until they’re seaworthy.

These terms cover your use of the Seaworthy Family app and this website. By using the app you agree to them. They are short on purpose; the privacy policy covers what happens to your data.

Who makes it

Seaworthy Family is made by Dylan Lee (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at [email protected].

Who it's for

The app is for parents and guardians, used alongside the teens in their care. A teen can use the app on a parent's device with that parent's permission. You need to be an adult to set it up.

It's a planning tool, not professional advice

Seaworthy Family helps a family write down expectations and freedoms and keep track of how they're going. The suggestions in it are general ideas, not advice about your particular child. They are not a substitute for a doctor, therapist, counsellor, lawyer or other professional, and nothing in the app is for emergencies. The decisions about your family are yours.

Your content

What you type into the app belongs to you. It is stored on your device only and we never receive it. That also means we can't recover it: if the app is deleted or the device is lost, the data goes with it.

Our content

The app itself — its design, artwork, text and suggestions — belongs to us or is used under licence. You may use it for your own family. Please don't copy, resell or redistribute it.

Beta software

The app is in early testing. Features may change or disappear, things may break, and test builds expire. We'll try to say so before a change would affect what you've written down.

Apple

If you got the app from Apple's App Store or TestFlight, Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. These terms are between you and us, not Apple, and Apple is not responsible for the app or for supporting it.

No warranty

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from using it, and our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app, if anything.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.

Seaworthy Family is an independent project in early prototype.
